STANFORD, Calif. - Remaining in the Bay Area for a nonconference tune up, the University of San Francisco men's soccer team (5-2-4, 0-1-1) is set to face one of the nation's top teams on Thursday night as the Dons will battle No. 9 Stanford (6-1-3, 0-1-3) at Maloney Field.

DONS AT A GLANCE:Â
- In last week's contest against Gonzaga, San Francisco dominated offensively in the scoreless draw, tallying 21 shots to extend their conference lead to 188 total shots on the year. Overall, USF currently ranks seventh in the country in shots per game with an average of 17.09 per match.
- Individually, Olivier Sylvain continues to attack each opponent as the sophomore is tied for the conference lead with 29 total shots. Additionally, Gabriel Bracken Serra is tied for fourth in the WCC with five goals while also sitting seventh in total shots (23).
- With another shutout this past Saturday, Eric Waltz now has four shutouts on the year, good for the most in the conference. Impressing each night, the goalkeeper also holds the lowest goals against average with a .667 mark.
SCOUTING THE CARDINALS:
- Last time out, Stanford faced fellow WCC opponent Santa Clara last Saturday and secured a 2-0 shutout win as the Cardinal outshot the Broncos 22-7.
- Leading the offensive for the Cardinal, sophomore Zach Bohane has tallied five goals and 16 points through ten matches so far this season. Against Santa Clara, the midfielder logged his sixth assist of the year, good for third most in the Pac-12.
- Goalkeeper Rowan Schnebly has appeared in the last four games for Stanford and has only conceded two goals, which included collecting his second shutout against Santa Clara.
SERIES HISTORY:Â
- Since 2005, Stanford leads the head-to-head series with San Francisco 10-4-1. Notably, the Dons last faced the Cardinal at Negoesco Stadium in November 2021, falling 1-0 on a second half goal.
