BOULDER CITY, Nev. – Led by
Riana Mission's first-place individual finish, the University of San Francisco women's golf team finished in second place with a 14-under-par 850 (291-281-278) on the final day of The Clash at Boulder Creek Tuesday afternoon at Boulder Creek Golf Club.
Long Beach State secured a first-place finish, shooting a 25-under-par 839 (283-271-285), while host Northern Arizona completed the podium in third place with a 12-under-par 852 (302-275-275).
TOURNAMENT RESULTS:
- Mission, earning the top spot in a tournament for the second time in her career, tied her career best of 11-under-par 205 (69-67-69) and finished her first-ever tournament shooting under 70 in every round.
- Shooting a three-under-par 69 on the final day, Eva Pett climbed the leaderboard and finished in a tie for fifth place with a six-under-par 210 (71-70-69). Earning her third straight top-10 finish, Pett closed the first half of the season with her lowest overall score.
- Hannah Zeman impressed on the tournament's final day with a one-under-par 71 to close in a tie for 28th place with an even-par 216 (73-72-71). Zeman shined throughout and ranked seventh out of 102 competitors with 13 birdies.
- Toni Sottile and Jolie Chee rounded out the scoring for the Dons, with Sottile finishing in a tie for 48th with a five-over-par 221 (78-72-71) and Chee grabbing a share of 57th with a six-over-par 222 (79-74-69).
UP NEXT:
With the conclusion of the fall portion of the schedule, San Francisco returns to action on Monday, Feb. 12, when it competes in the San Diego State Classic.
