CARMEL, Calif. - Closing out their fall schedule with one final tournament, the University of San Francisco men's golf team competed in the Cal Poly Invitational at The Preserve Golf Club in Carmel to begin the week.
TOURNAMENT RESULTS:
- Playing in a loaded field with ranked teams from across the country, Renato Naula led the way for the green and gold as the sophomore finished in a tie for 28th overall at 1-under-215 (72, 68, 75). Overall, Naula's two eagles tied for the second most in the tournament as he also recorded nine birdies across his three rounds.
- Looking at the rest of the lineup, Svante Palmgren tied for 65th overall at 7-over-223 (76, 72, 75) while Ben Partridge (76, 73, 75) and Jakob Melin (79, 72, 73) both tied for 67th at 8-over 224. Notably, Partridge's 35 pars were tied for sixth-most in the field.
- Rounding out the group, Harry Brown tied for 7th overall at 14-over-230 (75, 78, 77).
- Competing individually for the second time this season, Aidan Oliver tied for 73rd overall at 12-over-228 (78, 74, 76).
UP NEXT:
San Francisco will return to action in the spring semester as the Dons will take the next few months to recover and regroup. USF will begin their spring schedule on Feb. 15 + 16 at the John Burns Intercollegiate in Lihue, Hawai'i. Hosted by the University of Hawai'i, the Dons will compete at the Ocean Course at Hōkūala.
