SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The University of San Francisco men's soccer team (5-2-3, 0-1 WCC) is back in action on the Hilltop this week as the Dons are set to host conference rival Gonzaga (2-5-4, 0-1 WCC) for another WCC battle on Saturday night at Negoesco Stadium.

DONS AT A GLANCE:
- In their last outing, San Francisco went head-to-head with 2022 conference champion San Diego, but ultimately fell, 1-0, to the Toreros in a tight match. Recording seven shots on the night, the Dons still lead the WCC in shots as a team with 167.
- Olivier Sylvain remains a key offensive threat for San Francisco as the sophomore currently leads the team in shots with 26, good for second most in the WCC. Overall, the midfielder has recorded the most minutes on the field this year for the Dons (895), logging 90 minutes in nine out of the ten matches.
- In goal, Eric Waltz holds an impressive 0.74 goals against average over ten matches played this season, placing him second in the WCC for GAA.
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS:
- Last week, Gonzaga fell at home to LMU, 1-0, in their first game of conference game this season. Overall, freshman Ian Silva led the Bulldogs with four total shots in the match.
- Junior Stefano Campisi currently leads the team in points with a total of 11, which has come off four goals and three assists. Notably, six of these points came in the first two games of the season as the midfielder got off to a hot start this fall.
- Currently ranked first in the WCC in saves, Bulldogs keeper Wessel Sprangers averages 4.88 saves per match this year as he has collected 39 in total through eleven matches so far.
SERIES HISTORY:
- Since 2005, San Francisco holds a lead over Gonzaga in the head-to-head series as the Dons are 13-7-3 against the Bulldogs in this time frame. Last season, the two teams drew 1-1 at Luger Field in Spokane on Nov. 5, 2022.
