SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The University of San Francisco men's and women's tennis programs kick off the 2023-24 season this weekend, competing in the Battle in the Bay from Thursday, Sept. 21 through Sunday, Sept. 24, at the California Tennis Club.
San Francisco will welcome top teams and individuals nationwide with 20 programs traveling to compete at one of the premier tennis venues in the Bay Area.

The women's team had a strong season last year, concluding with a 12-10 record and earning a berth to the West Coast Conference Championships. Returning six letterwinners from a season ago, including WCC All-Conference selection Simran Chhabra, the green and gold welcome three Division I transfers and one true freshman for the upcoming season.
Alicia Yue, Hana Gamracy, and newcomers Erin Richardson and Katerina Filip will be the featured participants in the singles draw. Azaria Hayes will compete in the doubles tournament, teaming up with Chhabra.
On the men's side, the team is ready to build on last year's momentum. The Dons are led by Nikola Kuraica, who earned WCC Honorable Mentions selection last season after a successful sophomore season while competing on the Hilltop.
