DONS AT A GLANCE:
  • Over the past two weeks, the Dons put together a 1-0-1 record in their final road trip of the season, most recently taking a 3-2 victory at Saint Mary's last Saturday, Nov. 9. In the victory against the Gaels, Joe Core, David Raphael and Brayden Beason all found the back of the net, with all three of USF's goals coming in the first half of the match. Beason's goal has the freshman now leading the Dons in goals scored (5) this season.
  • Following a 1-5-2 record prior to conference play, San Francisco has been stellar in WCC action with a 4-1-2 conference record, good for third-best in the WCC behind No. 3 San Diego and Oregon State. Notably, San Francisco handed then-No. 2 Stanford just its second loss of the season four weeks ago.
  • Within WCC play, USF leads the conference as a team in both shots per game (17.57) and shots on goal per game (7.71). Individually, Beason, Isaiah Easley, and Gabriel Bracken Serra all rank in the top seven in the WCC in both shots and shots on goal per game in league action.
SCOUTING THE BRONCOS:
  • Last time out, Santa Clara played its final home game of the season on Saturday, Nov. 9 as the Broncos fell to LMU, 1-0, at Stevens Stadium.
  • The Broncos have compiled a 2-3-2 record in conference action, sitting at sixth in the WCC.
  • Leading the offensive attack for SCU, Tyler Tipton has scored a team-high five goals this season while racking up 10 points, also the most for a Bronco this year.
  • In the cage, Jack Stoecker ranks second in the WCC in save percentage (.800) and third in goals against average (1.00) within conference play.
SERIES HISTORY:
Since 2005, Santa Clara holds a 16-7-2 lead in the head-to-head series with San Francisco. Most recently, the two teams finished in a scoreless draw at Stevens Stadium last season on Oct. 25, 2023. San Francisco is seeking its first victory over SCU since the 2020-21 COVID-shortened season when the Dons took a 2-0 win over the Broncos at Negoesco Stadium on Mar, 7, 2021.
