DONS AT A GLANCE:
  • Last time out, San Francisco battled for both the team and individual titles as the Dons competed at TPC Harding Park for the second time this year when USF finished seventh overall at The Goodwin (Mar. 28-30). Hosted by Stanford, the green and gold were just two strokes off the lead as a group heading into the final round as Jakob Melin recorded his fourth top ten finish of the year by tying for third at 3-under-207 (69, 70, 68). Close behind, Ben Partridge finished in the top 25 individually for the fifth time this year as he tied for 23rd at 2-over-212 (75, 65, 72).
  • As of Sunday, Apr. 7, San Francisco currently sits at No. 71 in the Scoreboard NCAA Division I men's golf rankings. Individually, Melin is the highest ranked Don going into the tournament as he sits at No. 158 in the individual rankings.
  • Overall, two top 50 teams will suit up in this week's field – No. 36 Chattanooga and No. 37 Missouri. With the seventh edition of the Tiger Collegiate Invitational set to commence on Monday morning, Missouri has won four of the previous six championships on its home course (2017, 2018, 2021, 2022).
  • Looking ahead, USF will have a quick turnaround following their time in Columbia as the Dons will head to Phoenix for the Thunderbird Collegiate (hosted by Arizona State) from Thursday, Apr. 11 through Saturday, Apr. 13 at Papago Golf Club.
