CLE ELUM, Wash. –
Riana Mission, competing as an individual in her second-career NCAA Regional, climbed the leaderboard on the final day and earned a tie for 24th place at the Cle Elum Regional Wednesday afternoon at Tumble Creek Club at Suncadia Resort.
TOURNAMENT RESULTS:
- Mission struggled to open the tournament, posting six bogies throughout the first round, finishing tied for 51st with a six-over-par 78 after the opening 18 holes.
- Bouncing back on day two, Mission climbed the leaderboard as she moved up 15 spots to finish the second round in a tie for 36th. Battling through heavy winds, Mission recorded a birdie on her final hole of the afternoon to finish with a two-over-par 74, ending the round with an eight-over-par 152.
- Mission remained consistent throughout the final round on Wednesday, rising 12 spots on the leaderboard and wrapping up a successful tournament with a one-over-par 73.
- Her final placement of a tie for 24th place marked her best-ever finish in an NCAA Regional as she posted a tie for 47th in 2022.

"I'm extremely proud of how Riana competed throughout the tournament and for everything she accomplished this season," Head Coach
Sara Doell said. "She battled through pretty tough conditions, but she
was able to stay consistent. She improved every round, finishing tied for seventh out of the remaining 41 competitors who missed the cut to make it to the next round."
