- Cutting into the deficit, Josh Hankins hit a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fifth, followed by a leadoff home run from Bell in the bottom of the sixth to make it a 4–3 game.
- Breaking the deadlock, Hudson Shupe singled up the middle, plating Ty Yukumoto to tie the game at four in the bottom of the seventh. Bell kept the momentum going with another single to score Hankins, giving the Bulldogs their first lead of the game at 5–4.
