SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Myles Kallinger recorded three hits throughout the contest as the University of San Francisco baseball team (9-10) dropped an 8-3 decision to Sacramento State (8-13) Tuesday afternoon at Benedetti Diamond.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:
- Trailing 7-0 in the bottom of the third inning, San Francisco put a run on the board on an RBI single from Eddison Esquivel, scoring Kallinger from second base.
- The Dons held the Hornets scoreless before adding a pair of runs in the fourth inning to trim the deficit to 7-3. With two runners on, Wyatt Davis scored on a Zach Nagy groundout before Kallinger added an RBI single later on.
- Sacramento State added an insurance run at the top of the fifth and held the green and gold scoreless in the final four frames to secure the victory.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:
- Kallinger went a perfect three-for-three at the plate, including a double, an RBI, a run scored, and a stolen base. In the last three games, Kallinger is batting .600 (six-for-10) with two extra base hits and seven RBI.
- Trevor Busby earned his first-career start on the mound and allowed three runs on one hit in one inning of work. He also went one-for-four with a double.
- Tino Vasell and Esquivel also registered base hits, with Esquivel adding an RBI single in the third inning.
