Jay Duncan, Michael Plank Invited to Silver Waves Media Events at NCAA Men's Final Four

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - University of San Francisco (USF) men's basketball assistant coaches Jay Duncan and Michael Plank have been invited to two exclusive Silver Waves Media events during the NCAA Final Four in Indianapolis.

Duncan is one of 75 Division I coaches invited to the 2026 Silver Waves Media Elite 75 Power Lunch, a highly selective event held on the campus of IU Indianapolis during Final Four weekend (Saturday, Apr. 2). The lunch provides rare networking opportunities with five of the top search firms in college athletics, as well as athletic directors and senior administrators from across the country. The event is recognized for its impact, with more than a dozen past participants earning NCAA Division I head coaching roles in the last two years. This is the second consecutive year Duncan has received an invitation.

Plank has been selected for the 2026 Silver Waves Media Rising Stars Power Lunch, also at IU Indianapolis on Saturday, Apr. 2. This gathering specifically recognizes up-and-coming coaches poised for future head coaching roles, celebrating individuals who are gaining widespread recognition as impactful leaders and future influencers in college basketball.

Duncan recently finished his fourth year at USF, helping the Dons to an 85-51 record, three straight 20+ win seasons, back-to-back NIT appearances, and 13 All-WCC selections, including six First Team honorees.

Plank recently completed his fifth year in his second stint on the Hilltop, and his sixth overall in the green and gold (spent 2012-13 as a graduate assistant at USF). The Stockton, Calif. native was also a member of San Francisco's coaching staff under Todd Golden in 2021-22, which guided the Dons back to their first appearance in the NCAA Tournament since 1998.
