The leading returning scorer (16.5) and rebounder (6.8) among all WCC players, Tucker can do it all... can score from anywhere, inside or out.
JUNIOR: A first team all-West Coast Conference selection for the second time in 2001-02...he became the first WCC player to average a double-double since former Don Darryl Johnson in 1992...again proved to be one of the WCC's top players, ranking third in the WCC in scoring (18.9 ppg) and leading the loop in rebounding (10.1 rpg)...in league play, he led the WCC in rebounding (10.7 - the highest for a WCC player since Darryl Johnson in 1992) and was third in scoring. Moved up to 11th place in the USF career scoring list with 1,380, and by matching his junior scoring stats would move into second place, behind all-time leader Bill Cartwright (2,116)...If he matches his junior total of 528 points, he will finish with 1,908...he led USF in scoring 17 times and led the team in rebounding in 24 contests...recorded WCC best 17 double-doubles...was named WCC player of the week after USF's late December wins (including Michigan) and after the St. Mary's contests on Jan. 16-19...also ranked among WCC leaders in field goal percentage (46.6%-8th), free-throw percentage (77.6%-7th), 3-point percentage (38.4%-8th) and blocked shots (0.8-10th)...scored a career high 34 points against Portland last February 23rd
SOPHOMORE: Honorable Mention all-WCC selection...third in the WCC with 16.5 points per game and fourth in rebounding with 6.8...his field goal percentage (44.3%) and free-throw percentage (80.4%) are the best for all league returnees... had some monster games last year including 32 point, 15 rebound effort vs. Portland, 31 points, 11 rebounds vs. Fresno State and 29 point, 9 rebounds vs. St. Mary's ...MVP of the Northwestern Mutual Mayor's Game vs. Fresno State...scored 20 points or more 10 times last season.
FRESHMAN: First team all-WCC selection...tied with Gonzaga's Richie Frahm for league scoring lead, averaging 16.9 points per contest in league play...named WCC Freshman of the Year and WCC Player of the Month for February...first freshman to ever lead the league in scoring...ended the WCC regular season with six consecutive games scoring 20 points or better, setting his career high of 22 vs. Santa Clara on Feb. 16 and then matching that number vs. Santa Clara on the road (2/28) and Portland (2/25)...scored in double figures 19 times...sixth ranked shooter in WCC play at 52.4%...made 40% of his three-point shots, 46.2% in WCC play...USF's leading scorer in nine of 14 league games...fifth in the league in rebounding with 7.0...massive game in USF win at Fresno State with 15 points and 23 rebounds...called by USD coach Holland "the best freshman I have ever seen in this league"
HIGH SCHOOL: Selected as the Bay Area H.S. Player of the Year after his senior season by the San Francisco Examiner and Alameda Newspaper Group...as a senior averaged 24.3 points, 15.2 rebounds, 3 blocks and 3.2 assists and won over 30 awards...included were all-State, Northern California MVP and McDonald's All-American award...attended Redemption Academy in upstate N.Y. and averaged 27.5 points, 12.6 rebounds, 2.2 blocks.
