GENERAL CAPSULE: Had a breakout season in 2000-2001... gooddefender... capable shooter with good instincts... will play insideand on the wing this year to capitalize on her versatility.

2000-2001 SEASON (6.9 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 1.3 APG, 1.1 SPG): Enjoyed acareer year for the Lady Dons during her junior season...established career-highs in nearly every category... made 24 startsand averaged 6.9 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists and 1.1steals per game... scored a career and team-high 14 points at #25Oregon (12/30/00)... pulled down a career-high nine reboundsagainst Pepperdine (2/24/01)... scored 12 points, while convertingon four-of-five from 3-point range against UMass (12/1/00)...scored 11 points and snared five rebounds against Gonzaga(2/10/01).

1999-2000 SEASON (1.2 ppg, 1.5 rpg, 0.6 apg, 0.2 spg): Earlyseason starter... played solid defense for USF off the bench duringconference play... established career scoring highs in consecutivegames against Stanford and #9 Iowa State... pulled down season-highfive rebounds against the Cardinal.

1998-99 SEASON: Received limited playing time after getting offto a slow start due to an injury... did not make her USF debutuntil the team's WCC opener at San Diego (1/7/99)... played in all14 WCC regular season games and the first round of the WCCTournament, including a pair of starts.

PREP CAREER: A three-time all-conference player and four-timeteam MVP at Presentation High School... all-time leading scorer atschool... averaged 15.0 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 1.0 bpg and 2.0 spg on herway to co-conference MVP honors as a senior... averaged 12.4points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 2.8 blocks per game as ajunior... graduated in 1998.

PERSONAL: Molly Kathleen Shanley... hobbies include travel andcamping... comes from an athletic family as her dad (Dick), uncle(Jim) and brother (AJ) all played college football... goals forthis season are to win the WCC Championship and go to the NCAATournament... favorite athlete is Grant Hill... favorite movies areGrease and The Lion King... would be San Francisco Mayor WillieBrown if she could trade places with anyone for a day... the bestadvice I could give to youngsters is to stay in school and enjoytheir childhood... daughter of Dick and Kathleen Shanley... bornSeptember 27, 1980 in Santa Clara, CA.

WHY I CHOSE USF: I love the City and everything it has to offer;the sights, shopping and restaurants. Even though USF is in a bigcity, there is a small community feeling to our campus.

STRAIGHT FROM THE COACHING STAFF: Molly will be able to playmore on the perimeter this season. With the return of Carey Sauerand other post players, Molly can use her skills at the smallforward spot. She has excellent range and is a solid defender.
