The University of San Francisco hosted commencement exercises over the weekend, and five women from the USF basketball team earned diplomas from the University.
 
Aundrea Gordon (kinesiology), Alicia Scafidi (exercise and sports science) and Taj Winston (advertising) all walked the stage after four years as a Don. Paige Spietz (environmental science) started her collegiate journey at Missouri, but finished proudly wearing the Green and Gold after three years at the University. Displaying academic focus and intensity, Bryn Stark (economics) earned her degree from USF in just three years.
 
Each of these women join the tally of 47 total student-athletes, and more than 2,000 graduating students, to complete their education and cross the stage at St. Ignatius Church.
 
"We are very proud of all of our graduates whose hard work and dedication in the classroom and playing fields have been a source of inspiration and pride for everyone associated with USF Athletics," said Director of Athletics Scott Sidwell. "There aren't too many things more satisfying for me than watching a young person mature and develop over a four-year period and earn a meaningful degree from a great institution. This is a very special group that is very well-prepared to become leaders in their chosen fields of profession and in their communities."
