SAN FRANCISCO – The Fall World Series came to its conclusion over the weekend as the Gold Team won the series, 4-2.
The Green Team made it two wins in a row on Friday when they beat the Gold Team in a close battle, 4-3.
Brendan Jenkins earned the win, with
Grant Goodman coming in to close down the Gold Team to get the save. For Gold,
Brady Bate highlighted the day as he drove in two RBIs.
The Gold Team brought their bats in game six, scoring seven runs with two coming from series MVP
Brady Bate, putting his series total at 16 RBIs. For the pitching staff,
Thomas Ponticelli shut down the Green Team allowing zero runs to finish the series with a record of 3-0. Ponticelli earned the pitching MVP award for the series.
