TOMORROW'S GAME
USF is coming off a tough overtime loss to BYU, losing 75-73 to the Cougars in Provo. The Dons will be looking to get back in the win column on their home court against their East Bay rivals when No. 15 Saint Mary's comes to town. USF enters Thursday's game 14-13 overall and 6-8 in the West Coast Conference. Saint Mary's enters the game with a 24-3 overall record, and a 13-1 record in the WCC. Last time out, the Gaels' 19-game win streak was ended by conference rival, Gonzaga. The Gaels, who had their 19-game win streak ended by Gonzaga, average 78.6 points per game which is 2
nd in the conference. They lead the WCC in both shooting (52%) and 3-point percentage (41%). Saint Mary's is led by WCC scoring and rebound leader Jock Landale who averages 22.0 points per game, while grabbing 10.7 rebounds a game.

COACHES VERSUS CANCER
For the second-straight season, the Dons will be participating in the Coaches vs. Cancer 3-Point Challenge. For the month of February, every three-point field goal is a chance for the fans to donate to the cause.  USF made 70 3-point field goals in the month of February last season. This February, the Dons have already 21 3-point field goals.

The Dons are without a 1,000-point scorer this season.  Their closest is senior
Chase Foster who has 722 career points.  But a trio of Dons, junior's
Frankie Ferrari (429),
Matt McCarthy (498), and
Nate Renfro (433), are close to the 500-point milestone. McCarthy is also approaching 500 rebounds, grabbing 429 rebounds in his career.

THE SERIES
The Dons and Gaels have squared off 179 times with the Dons owning a 99-80 advantage in the series. The teams first met in the 1930-31 season with the Dons coming away with a 37-23 win. Recent history has belonged to the Gaels however, with SMC winning seven-straight and 24 of the last 25 match ups. The Dons will look to avenge their loss from earlier the season, when the Gaels took down USF 79-43.
