THE RUNDOWN
Sacramento, Calif. – The University of San Francisco's men's and women's track and field teams head to the state capital to compete in the Sacramento State Open held at Hornet Stadium on Saturday, May 5.
 
In the third event of the afternoon for the Dons, Ben Alcock, Mohamed Aziz and Isaias DeLeon will take to the track for the 1,500m. This will be the trio's second time running in the 1,500m this season. For both Aziz and DeLeon, they last ran in this event at the Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner Kersee Invitational, while Alcock last competed in the 1,500m at the same venue in the Hornet Invitational earlier this year.
 
On the women's side, both Emma Stahr and Alena Ulrichova will lineup for the 800m. The pair have yet to hit their stride in their signature event and will look to put two strong performances in to earn a trip to the NCAA West Region Preliminary Championships in Sacramento at the end of the month.
 
Samantha Lind will take to the track for the 400m for the second time this week. The senior competed on Thursday at the Payton Jordan at Stanford and will look to improve on her school-record time and post an NCAA qualifying mark.
