SAN FRANCISCO – In the latest installment of USF's cable television show, "Behind the Mask," we feature University of San Francisco women's soccer assistant coach
Pinder Nijjar. The episode spotlights a wide range of topics from how he first got involved in soccer, to working for head coach
Jim Millinder, to building a winning program on the Hilltop.
Nijjar first joined the Dons' program five years ago as a volunteer assistant for coach Millinder. The native of Nottingham, United Kingdom discusses how his grandfather got his family interested in the game. He talks about being a young coach learning his craft under Millinder and what type of players he looks for when building a program.
The four part segment will also feature a segment on women's volleyball sophomore volleyball player Emily Zinger, a day in the life feature with men's soccer players, and as always, the episode will conclude with "
Playmakers," highlighting top team and individual performances from USF athletes. Here, you'll see the best highlights from Dons fall season sports on the pitch, on the court, and on the trail.
