SAN BRUNO, Calif. - The West Coast Conference (WCC) officially announced the conference's major awards for the 2025 men's soccer season on Wednesday afternoon.
For San Francisco, four Dons earned All-Conference honors this year:
Lindsey Chau (Second Team),
Kaitlyn Sasadeusz (Honorable Mention),
Alicia Osegueda (All-Freshman Team), and
Tyra Bengtsson-Stenseth (All-Freshman Team).
Earning All-WCC honors for the third time in her career, Chau capped off her career on the Hilltop as a team captain, starting and playing in all 18 matches for San Francisco this fall. The forward finished with three goals, eight points, 50 shots, and 21 shots on goal, all which were second on the team. Chau's two assists also tied for the team lead while her 50 shots tied for seventh in the final WCC rankings. Notably, her goal against Oregon State on Nov. 8 proved to be the game-winner over the Beavers as the Dons secured a 1-0 shutout victory. In total, she totaled 1,535 minutes on the pitch in 2025, good for fourth on the team.
Sasadeusz was dangerous with the ball in her feet all season, leading the Dons in goals (5), assists (2), points (12), shots (51), and shots on goals (25), as she also suited up for all 18 matches, including making 13 starts. Within the conference, Sasadeusz finished fifth in shots on goal, tied for fifth in shots, 14
th in goals, and 21
st in points. Notably, she collected her second career brace in USF's 2-0 shutout of No. 18 Texas Tech on Aug. 24, which marked the first ranked win for second-year head coach
Pinder Nijjar.
Alicia Osegueda broke onto the scene in a big way, immediately becoming a key piece of USF's offensive attack. Starting and playing in all 18 matches this season, the Sheridan, Calif. native finished third on the team with 27 shots and 12 shots on goal, good for a 0.444 shot percentage. She recorded her first collegiate goal and first collegiate brace in USF's 4-1 win over San Diego on Nov. 1. First, the forward scored in the 13
th minute to give San Francisco an early 1-0 lead before finding the back of the net in the 24th minute to make it 2-0 in favor of the Dons.
Tyra Bengtsson-Stenseth shined in her debut season in the green and gold, showing her promise as one of the best goalkeepers in the conference throughout the fall. The freshman started in the cage in all 18 matches, playing all 90 minutes in each match this season. She was one of only two Dons to play every minute this season alongside
Danica Lunceford. Overall, Bengtsson-Stenseth finished with 69 saves, five shutouts, and a 0.697 save percentage. She would go on to finish fourth in the conference in saves, fourth in shutouts, and tied for eighth in wins (3).
