WGOLF | Dons Finish Strong at BYU at Entrada Classic

ST. GEORGE, Utah – In the third and final round of the BYU at Entrada Classic, the University of San Francisco women's golf team responded with a strong closing round and captured ninth for the tournament.

USF finished 36-over 900 (294-310-296) at the par-72 Entrada at Snow Canyon Country Club.  On the final round, the Dons finished with an 8-over 296 – the fifth lowest round of the day.  USF had two golfers finishing inside the top-30 led by Pearl Rojanapeansatith and Jade Siphomsay.

"The team played well today shooting 296 – unfortunately that wasn't good enough to move up, in fact we moved down in the standings," said head coach Sara Doell. "Regardless of the finish in the field, I am proud of the way the team played and how they represented USF. Pearl had a great round with 2-under par followed by strong showings from Joan and Jade. It is nice to see that anyone can lead us on any day. Having depth in the team is really going to help us in the future. We will head home and take a few days off before we host at the Meadow Club!"

Pearl Rojanapeansatith finished the tournament very strong.  She carded a 2-under 70 in the final round and climbed 17 spots on the leaderboard to finish in the top-20.  For the tournament she recorded a 6-over 222 (75-77-70).  Rojanapeansatith's four birdies on the final day gives her 10 for the tournament which is tied for 12th most.

Freshman Jade Siphomsay cracked the top-30 after finishing 2-over on the day with a 74. For the tournament, she finished with a 9-over 225 (73-78-74).  On Tuesday she recorded birdies on 1, 11, and 18 to give her nine for the tournament.

In third for the Dons was sophomore Joan Soewondo who turned in a 1-over 73 on the final day. For the tournament she finished with a 54 hole score of 10-over 226 (74-79-73).  Soewondo's strong finish saw her climb 13 spots on the final day.

Annika Borrelli finished tied for 40th with an 11-over 227 (72-76-79).  Samantha Gong finished tied for 60th with a 21-over 237 (76-80-81).
