Jim Millinder is pleased to announce the 2019 schedule for the University of San Francisco women's soccer team. The Dons will play 21 contests this season, the 35
th in program history, with nine taking place at Negoesco Stadium. The Dons will play four of their nine West Coast Conference games on the Hilltop.
Once again, the USF will play a challenging non-conference schedule, competing against three teams that went to the NCAA Tournament last season and six schools that won at least 11 games. Highlighting the Dons' schedule will be a home contest against bay-area rival Stanford and a road contest at USC.
"This is probably our most challenging schedule in my time at USF," said head coach
Jim Millinder. "We have two big road trips, Hawaii and Boston, followed by the always difficult WCC slate. We look forward to challenge this schedule provides us."
After an exhibition game against Sonoma State on Aug. 16, the Dons will begin their campaign in Honolulu playing in a four-team tournament hosted by Hawaii. The Dons will open the season on Saturday, Aug. 24 against Pac-12 team USC at 2:00 p.m. They wrap up their time in the Aloha State on Monday, Aug. 26 when they take on host Hawaii at 11:30 a.m.
USF closes out August and open September in Southern California with a road game at San Diego State on Thursday, Aug. 29 and a neutral site game against Illinois at Loyola Marymount on Sunday Sept. 1.
Thursday, Sep. 5 USF will make its home debut against UC Riverside under the lights at Negoesco Stadium. On Sunday, Sept. 8 the Dons will host Stanford at 5:00 p.m. It will be the Cardinal's first trip to the Hilltop since 2005. The Dons will then travel to Massachusetts to play a pair of non-conference games against Harvard on Friday, Sept. 13 and Northeastern on Sunday, Sept. 15.
USF will wrap up its non-conference slate at home starting with a contest against Montana on Friday, Sept. 20. The Dons defeated the Grizzlies 2-0 last year in Missoula prior to the Grizzlies making an appearance at the NCAA Tournament. The following weekend, the Dons will host Cal State Fullerton on Friday, Sept. 27 and UC Davis on Sunday Sept. 29

The Dons open West Coast Conference play in Moraga, Calif., when they take on the Saint Mary's Gaels on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 3:30 p.m. On Wednesday, Oct. 9 USF will host LMU at 5:30 p.m. at Negoesco Stadium. The following weekend the Dons will go on the road starting with a trip to Spokane to take on Gonzaga on Saturday Oct. 12. The following Saturday the Dons will travel to Stockton to take on Pacific.
The Dons will wrap up the season with five crucial contests starting with a home match against San Diego on Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 6:00 p.m. On Saturday, Oct. 26 the Dons will look to extend their winning streak over Portland with a 7:00 p.m. match in the Rose City.
USF's final three games will come against teams that went a combined 41-14-5 in 2018. The Dons begin that stretch with a home contest against BYU on Saturday Nov. 2 at 7:00 p.m. On Wednesday, Nov. 6 the Dons will play their final home game of the regular season when they host Pepperdine at 6:00 p.m. On Saturday, Nov. 9 USF will travel south to Santa Clara to take on the Broncos at 1:00 p.m.
