WHATS THE STORY
• This week the Dons travel to the east coast to take on Harvard and Northeastern. It is USF's first trip to Boston since The Dons split a trip against Harvard and Boston University, falling to Harvard on Sep. 4, 2014 before defeating BU on Sep. 9.

• The Dons 4-2 start is tied for the fourth best start in program history...USF has started 4-2-0 or better 10 times prior to 2019, in seven of those instances USF has gone on to win 10 or more games, once (2009) USF finished .500 and twice ('10 and '02) the Dons finished under .500.

• Last week the Dons defeated UC Riverside 5-0 in their 2019 home debut before falling to No. 3 Stanford 9-0. The last time the Dons defeated a team by five or more and lost by five or more in the next contest happened in 1999 when USF defeated Stanislaus State 6-0 before falling to Saint Mary's 6-0 on Oct. 18 and the 21st.

• Senior forward Miciah Madison had a monster game against the Highlanders last week. She finished with a pair of goals and a pair of assists for six points. The six points in a game is a career-best for Madison who once had five points (1 goal, 3 assists) in the 5-0 win over Sacramento State on Sep. 14, 2018.

• The Dons 5-0 win over UC Riverside marked the third consecutive shutout by the Dons in 2019. The last time USF had three-straight shutouts came Sep. 20 to Oct. 9, 2015 when the Dons tied Boise State 0-0, defeated No. 19 Santa Clara 1-0, a capped the streak with a 1-0 win over Pepperdine. It was the second-such streak that season as the Dons also opened 2015 with three-straight shutouts.

• Olivia Camera earned the cleansheet in the win over the Highlanders on Thursday, giving her three shutouts on the year and nine for her career. Camera's three shutouts this year has already tied her previous career high.

• Shooters Shoot: USF ranks ninth in the nation in shot percentage, they've taken 53 shots on the year with 34 on goal for a .642 shots on goal percentage. Miciah Madison is a big reason for that; the senior is 34th in the nation in shot accuracy. 10 of her 14 shots have been on goal for a .714 shots on goal percentage.

• SayJay In Good Company: Senior forward Samantha Jehnings recorded her 28th career goal in the win over UC Riverside on Thursday. The 28 goals ties her with Chelsea Hunt (2003-06) for third all-time with 28 career goals. First all-time is Shanna Haines (1986-89) with 42 career goals.  In second is Kellie Bryant (1992-95) who scored 33. All three players ahead of Jehnings are members of the University of San Francisco Hall of Fame.

• Scoring Goals:  Four players scored for the Dons in the win over the Highlanders. Miciah Madison netted two goals and added two assists for six points, Samantha Jehnings scored her 28th career goal and Samantha Curwood-Wagner notched her first career goal. The Dons have been shutout twice this season, but overall, USF is averaging 2.00 goals per game which is tied for the second-best mark in the WCC.

• Emptying the Bench: According to head coach Jim Millinder, the one upside to a 9-0 defeat was that USF emptied its bench and got a lot of players experience battling a top-ranked team. USF had 25 players see action last Sunday including newcomers like Jamesen Ward, Tia Catalano, Mariah Diaz, and Kaylin Lunsford – all of whom are freshmen that got a chance early in their career to play against the third-ranked team in the nation. In Lunsford's case it was her first collegiate appearance.

FRIDAY'S CONTEST
Harvard is 3-1 this season, with wins over Quinnipiac (3-0), Northwestern (2-0) and Massachusetts (2-1). The three-straight wins are Harvard's first such streak since Sept. 1-7, 2017, when it beat Central Connecticut State, St. John's and Boston College back-to-back-to-back. Junior Murphy Agnew and first-year Angela Caloia co-lead the Crimson with seven points this season, with each tallying two goals and three assists. Sophomore Sophie Hirst also has a team-high three assists. Hirst posted three assists against Quinnipiac, becoming the first Harvard player to accomplish the feat since Oct. 15, 2003. Caloia won her first weekly award from the Ivy League on Sept. 9, winning Rookie of the Week honors following productive outings against Quinnipiac and Northwestern. First-year Hollyn Torres and sophomore Courtney Rabb scored their first-career goals Sept. 10 in the win over UMass.

SERIES HISTORY
All-time the series is tied 2-2 between the Dons and Crimson. The series dates back to Sep. 23, 1990 when Harvard defeated the Dons 3-1 at Negoesco Stadium. In Cambridge, USF is 0-1, having fallen to Harvard 1-0 on Sep. 5, 2014. The last time these two teams played each other came on Aug. 26 last season with USF winning 2-1 at home.

SUNDAY'S CONTEST
Northeastern is 2-3 after and has dropped two-straight. At home this season, the Huskies are 2-0 with wins over Albany (1-0) and Harvard (4-1) earlier this month.  Northeastern will play Boston University tonight at 7:00 p.m. ET. Six players have scored at least two points for the Huskies this season. Chelsea Domond leads the way for the Huskies with five points on two goals and an assist.

SERIES HISTORY
Sunday's contest against the Huskies will be the first time these two teams have played each other.
