USF AT A GLANCE
• USF is 4-2 and riding a two-game winning streak after defeating Cal Poly 88-60 last Friday. The Dons have yet to play a game at home this season--in the 94-year history of USF basketball, the Dons have never opened the season with six games away from the home site. Moreover, the Dons have only played one game in California (at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo).
• Two-straight by 25: After the Dons defeated Cal Poly by 28, it marked their second-consecutive road win by 25 points or more. The last time the Dons recorded back-to-back road wins of 25 or more came on Feb. 27 and Mar. 3, 1973 when the Dons defeated LMU and Pepperdine. That Dons team went on to the NCAA Tournament, defeating Long Beach State in the 1st round before falling to UCLA.
• USF enters the contest averaging 75.3 points per game, while shooting 42.8 percent from the field. Their opponents are averaging 68.0 points per game, while shooting 40.8 percent. USF has three players in double figures:
Jamaree Bouyea (17.5),
Khalil Shabazz (16.3), and
Dzmitry Ryuny (12.8).
• Dons From Distance: USF continues its torrid pace from long range. The Dons have taken 184 attempts from beyond the arc, connecting on 67 of them. USF's attempts and makes are both third-most in the nation. USF's 11.2 made 3-point field goals per game ranks 18th in the nation. The Dons have made 10 or more 3-point five-straight games.
• Building that Resume: On Wednesday, college basketball analyst Andy Katz listed the Dons as one of the teams building a solid post season resume. The Dons own neutral court wins over No. 4 Virginia and Towson, and back-to-back road blowouts over Nevada and Cal Poly.

Thursday will be the ninth time the Dons and the Beach have faced each other.
