Jimbo Lull and
Jordan Ratinho were both named to the 18
th Annual Division I-AAA Athletics Directors Association (DI-AAA ADA) Scholar Athlete Team presented by ARMS Software, as announced by the DI-AAA ADA on Monday morning.

Todd Golden. "Both of these young men were great ambassadors for the University of San Francisco for their achievements on the court and in the classroom. They set a very high bar for the student-athletes in this program that will follow them."
Basketball players from all Division I-AAA ADA member institutions are eligible for these prestigious awards. Each of the nominees is required to maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.20 (4.00 scale) in undergraduate study and have been a starter or important reserve with legitimate athletics credentials. Nominees must have participated in at least 50 percent (50%) of the team's games listed on the nomination form. To be eligible for nomination to the Scholar-Athlete Team, he/she must have reached junior academic standing at their institution (ineligible athletics transfers are NOT eligible).
USF is the only school to have two players on the 11-player list. For the Dons' duo, this is the second academic accolade earned this year. They both earned First Team WCC All-Academic honors.
Lull, a Business Administration major, boasts a GPA of 3.55. The Dons' starting center had a career year that saw him earn All-WCC Honorable Mention honors. He posted career-bests in points per game (11.9) and rebounds per game (7.6). He finished his career playing in 128 games, and making 71 starts.
Ratinho, a management major with a 3.87 GPA, was one of just two players to be named to the WCC First Team All-Academic Team for the third-straight year. This season he became USF's career record holder for games played (136), started (126), and 3-point field goals made (251). Ratinho is tied for 18
th all-time with 1,271 points. He and Lull, combined with fellow senior
Remu Raitanen, represent the winningest class in 35 years on the Hilltop.
