SAN FRANCISCO — Power arms, experience, work ethic, are some of the qualities that the five new additions to pitching staff for the University of San Francisco baseball team. The five new pitchers will join
seven position players to form a 12 player class and will be joined by the five future Dons who
signed earlier this year.

Luke Brunette | San Diego, Calif. | La Jolla HS
Position: LHP
Height: 5-11
Weight: 180
B/T: R/L
Luke Brunette is another multi-sport athlete coming to the Hilltop for 2022. The seven time letter winner at La Jolla High School lettered three years in baseball and football and played one year of varsity hoops. On the diamond his senior season, the two way player finished the year with a 1.83 ERA on the mound with 29 strike outs in 25 innings pitched. He held is opponents to a .186 batting average. At the plate, he finished the season with a .318 batting average, while clubbing three doubles and a pair of triples while driving in 16.

Jonah Jenkins | Parker, Colo. | Dartmouth
Position: RHP
Height: 6-1
Weight: 200
B/T: R/R
Jenkins is one of two graduate transfers joining the Dons' pitching staff this season. The two-time letter winner for Dartmouth has made 17 appearances at the Division I level. In a shortened 2020 campaign, he finished with a 1.17 ERA. In 2019, he went 2-2 in 15 appearances for the Big Green. As a prep, he was a three-time letter winner at Chaparral High School and was a two-time team captain. He was chosen as the team MVP and Pitcher of the Year his senior season, earning first team
all-conference honors that season.

Weston Lombard | Stillwater, Minn. | Gustavus Adolphus College
Position: LHP
Height: 6-0
Weight: 200

Another graduate transfer, Lombard comes to the Hilltop after a stellar career at Division III's Gustavus Adolphus College. In three seasons pitching Gusties he saved his best for last, going 7-1 with a 2.5 ERA. In 60.2 innings pitched he struck out 72 en route to earning all-region honors and all-conference honors. As a prep at Saint Paul Academy, he was a four-time letter winner in both baseball and hockey. He was a three time all-conference honoree and a three time all-section honoree.

Another big lefty, Schreiber hails from Northern California. The Salinas, Calif. Native, lettered three years at Alisal High School. Entering his season, he was named to the Perfect Game West Region Pre-Season All-American honorable mention honors.

Blake Wittman | Bellevue, Wash. | Newport High School
Position: RHP
Height: 6-1
Weight: 190

Wittman hails from the Pacific Northwest where he earned multiple awards as a prep. The right handed pitcher was named team captain in 2021. He finished the shortened season going 4-0 with a 1.00 ERA. IN 21 innings pitched he struck out 29 with just four walks. He picked up all-state honors for his efforts.
