SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- The USF Dons women's soccer program and head coach
Jim Millinder are proud to announce the signing of Nina Konidaris to the Dons' program ahead of the 2022 fall season.
Konidaris is an outside forward from San Bruno, Calif. where she excelled for four years on the Capuchino High School varsity soccer team while also running track and field for three years. Competing for the Mustangs, Nina's team won the 2020 Ocean Division Championship while she also racked up numerous accolades including the league's freshman of the year award, 2020 team MVP and was a first team all-league selection.
"Nina is a tremendous talent and we are really excited about adding her to our squad this fall," associate head coach
Pinder Nijjar said. "We were really in need for more depth up front and we feel like Nina's outstanding pace and technical ability will provide that. That confidence at which she gets at defenders and her lack of fear of making mistakes really drew us to her as a player and person."
Not only did Konidaris dominate on the pitch, but she was also an excellent student in the classroom as she finished in the top nine percent of her graduating class and maintained a 4.0 GPA all four years of high school. She will be following in the footsteps of her older brother Gerasimos, who was a two year track and field athlete at the College of San Mateo.
Looking ahead to her arrival on the Hilltop, Nina will major in marketing and minor in international studies and looks forward to moving into the city and joining an elite Division I soccer team.
