DONS AT A GLANCE:
- Last time out, USF routed Pacific, 104-71, on the road in Stockton on Monday, Feb. 21 to record their third largest victory in school history over the Tigers (33 points). Logging his first double-double of the season en route to being named Player of the Game, Jamaree Bouyea dazzled with 15 points, 11 assists, 4 steals and 2 rebounds on 5-of-8 from the floor and a perfect 2-2 from distance. As a team, USF shot 59.3 from the floor, good for their second highest mark in a single game this season (shot 61.1 percent in a 92-76 win over Prairie View A&M on Nov. 11, 2021). From three, the Dons cashed in on 15-of-29 attempts, which set a new season-high with a 51.7 percent clip. Notably, USF led Pacific in points in the paint (34-24), points off turnovers (21-6), second chance points (10-6), fast break points (9-2), bench points (43-31), rebounds (34-23), assists (22-7) and steals (8-5).
- Heading into Thursday night's matchup, the Dons currently rank No. 18 in Torvik, No. 24 in KenPom and No. 27 in the NCAA's Net Rankings. Notably, USF is one of three WCC teams in the top 30 of each ranking system as the WCC is currently projected to get three bids in the 2022 NCAA Tournament.
- With a win over No. 1/1Gonzaga, USF would record their most wins in a single season since the program was reinstated in 1985-86.
- Racking up 96 wins across his five plus seasons on the Hilltop, Bouyea is now USF's all-time winningest player. Impressively, the Seaside native is attracting looks from NBA scouts as he currently sits at No. 25 on NBA Draft Net's Prospect Board and No. 96 on ESPN's 2022 NBA Draft Board.
- Moving into the final week of conference play, the Dons are 8-5 in Quad 1 + 2 games, including wins over Davidson (Net 48/KenPom 54), UAB (KenPom 47/Net 49), Fresno State (KenPom 58, Net 65), Towson (Net 74, KenPom 75) and a season sweep of Santa Clara (Net 72, KenPom 75).
