Women's Soccer Adds Ellie Weissenberg to 2022 Class

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- The USF Dons women's soccer program and head coach Jim Millinder are proud to announce the signing of Ellie Weissenberg to the Dons' program ahead of the fall 2022 season.

Weissenberg is a midfielder/forward from Hermosa Beach, Calif. that has excelled throughout her high school career on the pitch and in the classroom at Mira Costa High School. Ellie has been a force within the Mustangs system as she's led her team in goals her first three years and was the winner of the school's most outstanding award her freshman year.

"Ellie is a determined, driven soccer player and she is going to be a valued asset to our team," associate head coach Pinder Nijjar said. "Ellie is going to bring so much positive energy to us this fall and we are so excited to see her showcase her attacking threat."

Leading her team's offensive attack during her time with the Mustangs, Weissenberg and her team won the CIF championship her sophomore year and followed that up by winning the Bay League title her junior year. Not be outdone, in the classroom Ellie made sure to continue collecting accolades as she made her school's honor roll and was selected as a scholar athlete her first three years of high school.

Looking ahead to when Ellie arrives on campus at the Hilltop, she plans to study business and looks forward to living in San Francisco and exploring the various parks, enjoying the calming views of the ocean and the bright city lights at night.
