DONS AT A GLANCE:
  • Dons junior forward Kaylin Lunsford had a stellar week at home against two Texas based opponents as her hat trick against Baylor was good enough for her to be the second USF player named the WCC's Offensive Player of the Week.
  • USF's offensive attack has been on point this season as they've done a great job of getting the ball behind the defense to create good shots and opportunities, as a team the Dons have averaged 13.7 shots per game this season.
  • On the defensive side of the ball, the Dons pressure has held strong thanks to quality play from the back of the defense and strong goalkeeping from junior Megan Nail who has recorded 27 saves this year.
SCOUTING THE TRITONS:
  • UC San Diego enters Wednesday's match looking to the right the ship of their season as they've won just once this season and haven't picked up a victory on their home pitch. UCSD has so far faced two WCC opponents the Dons will see later this season as they came up short against Saint Mary's and #17 Pepperdine.
  • Leading the way for the Triton offense has been junior forward Kennedy Carter who has recorded two points and an assist to lead the way with five points for her squad this season.
  • In goal for UC San Diego is junior Keara Fitzgerald who has allowed 13 goals while recording 38 saves this season as UCSD has struggled to keep the ball on the opponent's side of the filed on offense this season.
SCOUTING THE TITANS:
  • Cal State Fullerton enters Saturday evening's match looking to rebound after falling 5-1 to #1 UCLA as they've played a tough non-conference schedule with a narrow loss to #25 BYU as well as securing a draw against Texas Tech.
  • Senior midfielder Maddie Kline and graduate student defender Emelia Owen each led the way for their team with two goals so far this season, while Kline has done a nice job of setting up her teammates with three assists of her own.
  • In goal, redshirt freshman Mia Ranson has started seven matches for the Titans recording 40 saves and serving as an integral part of the Fullerton defense.
