DONS AT A GLANCE:
  • Last time out, San Francisco got back in the win column with a double-digit victory over DePaul, 70-54, to close out play in the inaugural Arizona Tip-Off tournament. Over the weekend, the Dons went 1-1 in the tournament as GCU narrowly squeezed past USF, 76-72 on Friday, Nov. 17.
  • As a team, San Francisco is currently second in the WCC in points allowed per game (60.8) while also ranking third in scoring (82.4 points per game).
  • Through five games, Jonathan Mogbo continues to rank amongst the nation's best as the forward still leads the NCAA in field goal percentage at 80.95 percent. Overall, the 6'8" Missouri State transfer is 34-of-42 from the field so far, including three games with one missed shot or less.
  • Dating back to the start of 2021-22, San Francisco is 16-1 in their last 17 nonconference games at home on the Hilltop with USF's only loss coming to UT Arlington in 2022-23.
  • Looking at the national rankings, the Dons come into Wednesday night at No. 82 in the KenPom rankings, good for the third-highest mark in the WCC behind No. 11 Gonzaga (8) and Saint Mary's (79).
SCOUTING THE MASTODONS:
  • Playing in the Desert Division of the Arizona Tip-Off tournament, Purdue Fort Wayne took down Northern Arizona, 77-67, on Friday, Nov. 17 before handling South Dakota, 93-81, on Saturday, Nov. 18. For his efforts, Quinton Morton-Robinson was named Horizon League Player of the Week after averaging 22.0 points per game for PFW in the tournament.
  • At 5-0, the Mastodons are currently one of 52 undefeated teams left in Division I men's basketball. Notably, this is PFW's first 5-0 start since the 1992-93 season, when they earned a bid to the NCAA Division II tournament - their only NCAA bid (Division I or II) in program history.
  •  Similar to Mogbo, Eric Mulder is currently seventh in the nation in effective field goal percentage at 83.3 percent.
