SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Head coach
Molly Goodenbour and the University of San Francisco women's basketball program officially announced today the hiring of Ariell Bostick as the program's new Director of Operations.
"We are excited to add Ariell to our staff as Director of Operations," said Goodenbour. "She is a hard worker and will be a huge asset to our program. She has coaching experience and has spent time in collegiate athletic administration. Her skills are well suited to this job and we are excited to get her back in the Bay Area.
Fresh off of her second stint at San Diego State, Bostick spent the 2022-23 athletic year as an administrative assistant for SDSU Athletics as she assisted department employees with a variety of tasks and objectives. Prior to this position, the Oakland native spent almost four years as a varsity girls assistant basketball coach at Francis Parker School, where she also served as an administrative assistant for two years. Additionally, Bostick has also spent time at She's Empowered Sports and the Boys & Girls Club of San Deguito as a part-time coach.
"I'm excited to be a part of the USF family and grateful to Coach Molly and her staff for giving me this opportunity," said Bostick. "It feels good to finally be home after ten years and back in the city where I developed as a young basketball player at the Mission Rec Center".
During her playing days, Bostick was a four-year letter winner at SDSU, which included being named to the 2013-14 Mountain West All-Freshman Team. Overall, the 5'4" guard appeared in 107 total games, tallying 55 total starts to go along with 5.8 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game.
Prior to her time in San Diego, Bostick played four years at Bishop O'Dowd High School in Oakland under head coach Malik McCord, where she won a CIF Division III and Open Division State Championship.
