USAF ACADEMY - Coming from behind in the second half, the University of San Francisco men's soccer team (5-1-3) battled back from down 2-0 against Air Force (0-8-1) on Saturday night as the Dons fought to draw the Falcons, 2-2, at Cadet Soccer Stadium.

- Shortly after, Carter Rizzo got the Falcons on the scoreboard early as the forward found the back of the net at the 2:18 mark.
- San Francisco quickly tried to find the equalizer as the Dons tallied four shots between the ninth and 17th minutes, which included attempts from Alafranji, Max Chretien and two from Constantinos Michaelides.
- In the 18th minute, the Falcons took advantage of a USF foul as midfielder Remi Smith scored off a penalty kick to give Air Force a 2-0 lead.
- With the Dons seemingly going into halftime in a two-goal deficit, Chris Maldonado found Gabriel Bracken Serra for a goal in the 42nd minute, cutting Air Force's advantage to 2-1 right before the break.
- To open the second half of play, Maldonado was determined to continue their momentum as the freshman notched his first collegiate goal in thr 55th minute to even things up at 2-2.
- Throughout the remainder of the match, both clubs attempted to find the go-ahead strike, but neither team was able to find the back of the net down the stretch. After a gritty comeback performance, San Francisco and Air Force finished in a hard-fought 2-2 draw.Â
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:
- Dominating offensively in every match this season, the Dons extended their streak of outshooting their opponent in every game so far this year as the green and gold outshot the Falcons 24-6 on Saturday.
- Adding to his team-lead against Air Force, Bracken Serra netted his fifth goal of the campaign as his five goals are now tied for third in the WCC.
- In addition to his first career goal at the collegiate level, Maldonado also tallied his first collegiate assist as these combined to record the first three points of his career as a Don. Additionally, he also played 37 minutes off the bench, his fourth-most in a match so far this season.
