Following his stint at Skyline, Caulfield played two seasons at LMU, garnering All-WCC First Team honors in 2016 and 2017. He hit .341 with 65 runs scored, 14 doubles, four triples, three home runs, and 51 RBI throughout his two-year career with the Lions.
Caulfield began his professional career in 2017 when he was drafted in the 32nd round of the Major League Baseball (MLB) Draft by the Washington Nationals. After playing three seasons with the Nationals organization, in 2021, he played for the Gary Southshore RailCats, Tri-City Valley Cats, and the New York Boulders of the Independent League.
He made his Atlantic League debut with the Long Island Ducks in 2022, posting a .288 batting average with 49 hits in 170 at-bats, ranking 34th best in the league, before ending his professional career with the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs in 2023.
