Women’s Golf Set to Open Fall Season at Leadership and Golf Invitational

UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. – Kicking off its 2024 season, the University of San Francisco women's golf team will begin play in the Pacific Northwest, competing in the Leadership and Golf Invitational on Monday, Sept. 16 and Tuesday, Sept. 17.

The first two rounds of the 54-hole tournament will begin with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start on Monday, at the 12th hole for San Francisco, and finish on Tuesday with the final round.

DONS AT A GLANCE:
  • Last season, three Dons earned WCC All-Conference Team honors, Riana Mission, Eva Pett, and Yvonne Shang.
  • Mission excelled on the course last season, as along with her All-Conference Team honor, she earned a selection as an individual for the NCAA Tournament, where she finished in a tie for 24th in a field of 67, her best finish in the national tournament, following a tied-for-47th finish in 2022.
  • The green and gold have a total of six returners from last year's roster, including Jolie Chee, Rodaylin Mina, and Lisa Marie Rudometkin, along with Mission, Pett, and Shang. USF also has brought in two newcomers, freshmen Lexi Booras and Jillian Leh.
  • For the second consecutive year, the Dons will open their fall season at the Leadership and Golf Invitational in Washington. Last year, as a squad, San Francisco placed fifth overall in a field of 19 schools, with Mission placing fourth overall among individuals.
