Dons Land Local Guard Andrew Hillman

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Head coach Chris Gerlufsen and the University of San Francisco men's basketball program announced today the signing of guard Andrew Hillman (San Francisco, Calif.).

"It is great to welcome local product Andrew Hillman to our basketball family here at USF," said Gerlufsen. "It has been fun to see Andrew develop at Archbishop Riordan HS over the last few years under coach Joey Curtin. Andrew is a dynamic player who can impact both sides of the ball at a high level. We cannot wait to continue his development when he arrives on campus."

Hillman, who attends Archbishop Riordan High School in San Francisco, is a 6'4" combo guard who also plays club basketball for the Oakland Soldiers. He is a three-star prospect according to 247Sports and is regarded as one of the top senior men's basketball players in Northern California. Originally from Cameroon, Hillman began playing basketball in 2018 at the age of eleven.

In 2024-25, Hillman led Riordan to a 29-2 overall record, including a perfect 14-0 record in league play, and an appearance in the CIF Open Division State Championship game. The Crusaders would finish ranked as high as fourth overall in the state of California.

Hillman chose San Francisco over offers from California, Pepperdine, San José State, Stanford, UC Santa Barbara, Washington, and Washington State.
