DONS AT A GLANCE:
- San Francisco improved to 3-0 at home this season as the Dons picked up a 75-64 win over Bradley on Saturday night, USF's 21st consecutive regular-season win on the Hilltop. Ryan Beasley logged a second-straight 23-point game against the Braves, shooting 8-of-12 from the field, also logging five rebounds and five assists to notch the first 20-5-5 game of his career. A spark off the bench, David Fuchs had his best game of the young season with 17 points and 12 rebounds in 27 minutes, logging his 10th-career double-double.
- Excelling defensively, the green and gold held Bradley to just 1-of-17 shooting in the second half of Saturday night's win, allowing 27 points in the second period. Bradley finished just 23.5 percent (8/34) from distance in the game, the lowest three-point percentage by a USF opponent so far this season. As a team, the Dons shot a season-best 45.0 percent from beyond the arc in the win over the Braves, knocking down nine of their 20 shots from downtown.
- Impressively, San Francisco nearly doubled Bradley's rebounding total in the victory, beating the Braves 46-25 on the glass. Notably, USF is 53-5 when winning the rebound battle under fourth-year head coach Chris Gerlufsen.
- Tuesday night's contest against Northwestern State will mark the green and gold's last home game until Dec. 3 (vs. North Alabama), as the Dons will travel to Sioux Falls this weekend for a neutral site matchup against Minnesota, before heading to Southern California for the Acrisure Series on Thanksgiving weekend.
SCOUTING THE DEMONS:
- After a 0-3 start to the season, Northwestern State picked up its first win of the year last Friday, Nov. 14, with a 95-75 victory over Ecclesia College (National Christian College Athletic Association/NCCAA). The Demons are still hunting for their first victory over a Division I program this season.
- Last season, NWU finished with a 16-16 record overall and a 12-8 record in Southland Conference action, reaching the semifinals of the 2025 Southland Conference Tournament before falling to eventual conference champion McNeese (83-64).
- Leading the offense for the Demons, senior guard Micah Thomas has been on fire through the first four games of the season, averaging 19.5 points per game, fourth-most among SLC players, while shooting 51.0 percent from the field, 58.8 percent from three, and 94.7 percent from the charity stripe.
- The Dons will look to test the Demons beyond the arc on Tuesday night, as the Demons are one of 26 teams across Division I that are allowing opponents to shoot over 40 percent from long range this season.
SERIES HISTORY:
- Tuesday night's contest against the Demons will mark the first-ever meeting between San Francisco and Northwestern State.
