SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The University of San Francisco women's golf team kicked off the spring portion of the 2024-25 season with a fifth-place team finish at The Causeway Tuesday afternoon at Del Paso Country Club.
TOURNAMENT RESULTS:
- Yvonne Shang led San Francisco as she posted her second consecutive top-10 individual finish, concluding the tournament in a tie for sixth with a one-under-par 215 (72-73-70). Shang, one of only eight golfers to shoot under par throughout the two-day event, shined in the third round as she posted a two-under 70 and climbed 12 spots on the player leaderboard.
- Wrapping up in a tie for ninth place, her team-leading fourth top-10 finish of the season, Riana Mission posted a one-over par 217 (74-72-71). Despite starting slow, shooting a two-over par 74 in the opening round, Mission finished strong with an even-par 72 in round two and a one-under 71 in the final round.
- Appearing in her second-career tournament, Jillian Leh finished at nine-over par for a 41st-place finish out of 74 competitors. After an over-par opening round, the freshman cleaned up in the second round, shooting even-par and recorded four birdies.
- Eva Pett grabbed a share of 30th, finishing with a six-over-par 222 (73-75-74), and rose seven spots on the player leaderboard on the final day.
