  • Risse was stellar in the series finale, allowing just one earned run through five complete innings and striking out a season-high six batters.
  • Quentin Pohorski pitched the final three innings on Friday, allowing just one hit and a walk, and registered three strikeouts. In his sixth appearance in relief of 2025, Pohorski collected his team and league-leading third save.
  • Through 21 games this season, three players are batting .300 or better, with Harmon leading the way at .394. Becoming a regular starter in the last seven contests, he has accumulated a .417 batting average with 10 hits in 24 at-bats, one double, three home runs, six RBI, and seven runs scored.
  • TJ Rogers and Jordan Lewis have helped guide the Dons offensively, compiling .303 and .300 batting averages, respectively. Lewis leads the program in hits (23) and runs scored (21), while Rogers has recorded a team-leading 20 RBI.
  • On the mound, Risse leads all starters and ranks sixth in the WCC with a 3.70 earned-run average, allowing 10 runs in 24.1 innings pitched. His two wins in four appearances also rank tied for third in the league.
SCOUTING THE BRONCOS:
  • Santa Clara has lost five of its last six games, including a 13-4 loss at home to Nevada on Monday, Mar. 17. The program has also dropped four straight contests to nationally ranked opponents, losing in a three-game series at No. 12/9 Texas, and falling 8-0 at No. 11 Oregon State last Saturday.
  • In his first start of the season, Koen Carston led Santa Clara at the plate in the loss to Nevada, tallying two hits and an RBI. Max Ross, Luke Devine, Dylan Joyce, Hayden Jung-Goldberg, Payton Lambert, and Kai Cunningham also collected hits for the Broncos.
  • Joyce has led the program this season at the plate, compiling a .270 batting average, 17 hits, a team-leading three home runs, and a .444 slugging percentage. In 17 games, he has totaled five multi-hit games, including a three-for-four performance with two RBI in an 8-3 win over Grand Canyon on Saturday, Mar. 15.
