SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The University of San Francisco baseball team (11-12, 1-1 WCC) dropped a 13-0 seven-inning league decision at Santa Clara (9-10, 1-1 WCC) Saturday afternoon at Stephen Schott Stadium.

IN CASE YOU MISSED:

Despite TJ Rogers notching San Francisco's first hit of the game with a single in the top of the opening frame, Santa Clara set the tone with eight runs in the bottom half of the first to take a commanding 8-0 advantage.
After two scoreless innings, the Broncos added three more runs to stretch their advantage to 11-0 in the bottom of the fourth.
The Broncos scored two more runs with a sacrifice fly in the fifth before Andrew Rayment homered in the sixth inning to make it 13-0.
The Dons failed to score in the top of the seventh before the game was ended due to the run rule, as the Broncos secured the 13-0 victory.

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES:

Three players tallied a base hit throughout the seven-inning contest as San Francisco finished with five hits.
Cal Amborn pitched 2.2 innings out of the bullpen, his longest outing of the season, allowing two runs on seven hits and striking out two batters.
Rogers posted a hit for the fourth time in the last five games as he increased his season total to 21.

UP NEXT:
San Francisco returns to action at noon on Sunday, Mar. 23, for the rubber match at Stephen Schott Stadium.
