SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Marcus Williams, a two-time All-WCC First Team selection, has signed a Summer League contract with the Miami Heat following the 2025 NBA Draft.

Miami will compete in two Summer League events this summer - the California Classic, from July 5-8 at Chase Center in San Francisco, and the Las Vegas NBA Summer League, from July 10-20 at Thomas & Mack Center and Pavilion on the UNLV campus.

Williams will follow in familiar footsteps after Jamaree Bouyea, a three-time All-WCC selection who finished his career on the Hilltop in 2022, signed and played with the organization from 2022-24. On Feb. 10, 2023 Bouyea made his NBA debut with Miami followed by signing a two-way contract with the Heat on July 1, 2023. Bouyea also competed with Miami's summer league team each summer.

This past season, Williams averaged 15.1 points, 4.3 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 1.5 steals as he started in all 31 of his appearances in the green and gold. Overall, he ranked in the top ten in the conference in field goal percentage (48.3, fourth), three-pointers made per game (2.2, fourth), scoring (15.1 points per game, sixth), assists per game (4.3, seventh), assists (132) and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.7, eighth). Williams finished with 20 points or more eight times in 2024-25, including in three of the last four games to close out the regular season. Notably, his 67 three-pointers made were good for the 11th-most in a single season in program history. Williams was named to the All-WCC First Team for the second consecutive season, following his selection to the team in 2023-24.

After his three years on the Hilltop, Williams ranks seventh all-time in program history in assists (360) and three-pointers made (173), tied for ninth in steals (122) and 26^th in total points (1,209).
