GENERAL CAPSULE - Coming off her best season yet... a true center midfielder... is and will continue to be an important playmaker... improved remarkably from the previous year... continued greatness is expected from Caro, who last season scored two goals against #6-ranked California.
2001 SEASON - Became a key starter in 13 matches, scoring a team-high six goals and two assists... two of those goals came in a 4-0 win over UC Riverside (9/27)... scored another goal the following week against Cal State Fullerton (9/30)... extended herscoring streak with two more goals in a double overtime match against #6-ranked California (10/7) and against Sac State (10/9).
2000 SEASON - Played in eight matches during sophomore campaigns... recorded three shots.
1999 SEASON - Saw action in 18 matches, with seven starts... recorded two assists, including game-winner against Weber State (9/10)... added another assist versus Stanislaus State (10/19).
PREP CAREER - Holds the all-time school assist record at Los Gatos HS... selected first team all-conference three times... second team all-Central Coast Section choice as a junior.
OTHER SOCCER EXPERIENCE - Has played nine years of club soccer, including four seasons with the Nor-Cal squad and one with the regional team... played with current USF teammate Kristen Gordon on the Kusatsu Tournament winning team in July 1999.
PERSONAL - Stacey Lynne Caro... my goal for this season is to help the team win the West Coast Conference... I chose USF because I liked the way the team played together and I love the environment of San Francisco... father, Bert, was on the track and field team at Texas Western... parents are Bert and Lynne Caro... born March 17, 1981.
