The University of San Francisco men's basketball will look to get back to .500 in conference play when Loyola Marymount comes to town for a Saturday matinee. TOMORROW'S GAME
The Dons are riding high after defeating No. 15 Saint Mary's 70-63 on Thursday evening. The win over the Gaels was their first over a top-25 team since defeating No. 24 Gonzaga 66-65 on Feb. 18, 2012. With a win over the Lions, USF can improve to .500 in the conference standings for the first time since Dec. 30 when USF defeated Portland on the road to pull even at 1-1. LMU enters tomorrow's contest with an 8-18 overall record and are fresh off a 76-46 defeat at the hands of Gonzaga up in Spokane. On the road LMU is 2-11, their last road win came on Dec. 9 against Cal State Northridge.
COACHES VERSUS CANCER
For the second-straight season, the Dons will be participating in the Coaches vs. Cancer 3-Point Challenge. For the month of February, every three-point field goal is a chance for the fans to donate to the cause. USF made 70 3-point field goals in the month of February last season. This February, the Dons have already 27 3-point field goals.

McCARTHY SCORES 500TH POINT
Junior forward
Matt McCarthy had a big night on Thursday. The native of Melbourne, Australia needed just two points to score his 500th career point. He got that early in the first half with a dunk coming three minutes into the contest. McCarthy finished the game with nine points before fouling out, giving him 507 for his career.
THE SERIES
The Dons lead the all-time series 103-44. The series dates back all the way to the 1942-43 season. Earlier in the season, the Lions came away with a heartbreaking 67-65 win over the Lions at Gersten Pavilion when LMU hit three free throws at the end of the game. At home, the Dons are 52-18 all-time against the Lions.
