Facing the Tigers: Pacific holds an 89-43-1 edge over the Dons in the all-time series record. Last season, USF hosted Pacific for a three-game series culminating in senior day for the Dons. After losing the first game that Friday, USF won the final two games of the season 10-3 and 7-5 to win the series, 2-1.

Trio of aces: The Dons will send their three aces to the mound this weekend beginning with junior Thomas Ponticelli (2-0) starting the series on Friday. Last time out Ponticelli went eight innings, allowing two runs while striking out seven. Sophomore Riley Ornido (3-0) started the first game of the Saturday doubleheader for the Dons, striking out an impressive 15 total batters in eight and two thirds innings. Landen Bourassa (3-1) threw six and a third scoreless innings, striking out seven in that span.

Strikeout leaders: Bourassa leads the way for USF in strikeouts with 30 total, taking the lead from Ornido last weekend with his seven strikeouts against Xavier. The strikeout lead was shared between the three weekend starters with Ponticelli taking the lead in the first game with 28 total for the season. The next game, Ornido overtook Ponticelli with 29 strikeouts, buoyed by his 15 strikeouts against Xavier. Finally, Bourassa took his lead back, striking out seven to put his total at a team high 30.

Home field advantage: This season the Dons have a 5-3 record at home, including a series win over Xavier this past weekend. In the most recent game against Cal, the Dons made it close but ultimately fell to the Golden Bears 5-4.
