THE RUNDOWN
Portland - The University of San Francisco's track and field teams capped off their regular season at the Portland Twilight with six top-three finishes and a pair of qualifying marks.
Â
It was
Charlotte Taylor and
Weronika Pyzik that would highlight the evening for USF with their performance in the 5,000-meters. In their event, Taylor and Pyzik would take the one-two spots with their times of 15:52.84 and 16:08.18, respectively. Their times would be good enough to qualify for the NCAAs.
Â
Samantha Lind, competing in the 200m and 400m, would place in the top-three in both events. Her highest finish on the night would come in the 200, placing second with a time of 25.42. Her time of 55.76 would be good enough to place third overall.
Â
On the men's side it would start with
Jack Rowe's performance in the 5,000m. The junior would finish second with a time of 14:03.79. In the 10,000m, it would
Caleb McClain that would make the headlines with his time of 30;35.88. Not only was it good enough to finish second overall, but it was a personal best for the junior who smashed his previous best.
Â
The Dons will now shift focus to the NCAA's, which the selections for that will be released this Thursday, May 17th.

COACHES QUOTES
Head coach Helen Lehman-Winters
On the overall performance from the runners today:
"We have made a lot of progress this season and are leaving the track this evening with multiple personal bests, multiple season bests and some really strong gutsy performances. We have some momentum going into the post season and we are excited to compete in the NCAA championships."
