Nino Giarratano are happy to announce the signing of seven new Dons during the 2018-19 early signing period who are set to join the team for the 2019-20 season and who will bring a wide range of experience, athleticism and talent to the University of San Francisco.

Brock Bozett | Spokane, Wash. | Ferris High School

Brock Bozett comes to San Francisco as a multi-sport star at Joel E. Ferris High School in Spokane, Wash., lettering all four years of his prep career in both baseball and football. He also earned a letter in basketball … Bozett collected first team all-league honors in baseball (sophomore and junior years) and in football (senior season) last fall … He also racked up all-league honorable mention accolades in both sports earlier in his prep career … Bozett has been a dynamic hitter for the Saxons on the diamond, batting .330 his rookie season, .418 during his sophomore year and .388 last spring as a junior … Bozett helped lead Ferris HS to back-to-back regional playoff appearances In both of his first team all-league seasons (2017, '18) … Brock's brother,
Beau Bozett, played with the Dons in 2016 as a graduate transfer.

Darius Foster is an elite outfielder with five-tool potential and future pro prospect aspirations … Foster, who originally signed out of high school in 2016-17 with national powerhouse Oregon State, comes to California by way of Georgia and most recently, nearby Contra Costa College … Out of high school, "Perfect Game" ranked him as the 376th overall recruit in the country (2017) and gave him a grade of nine out of 10, which in the website's grading system meant: "Potential top 10 round pick and/or highest level college prospect." … He had an OPS (On-base Plus Slugging) of over .700 as a junior at Norcross HS in 2016, where he helped the team make the Georgia High School Association 6A Final Four … Foster went off in his senior season of 2017, batting .361 with 15 extra-base hits (seven doubles, four triples, four home runs), 22 RBIs and 24 stolen bases. That earned him first team all-league and second team all-county honors … As a sophomore in 2015 at Lambert High School in Suwanee, Ga., he batted .379 and boasted an OPS of over 1.120, earning him a spot one the USA Baseball Under-15 trial team.

Christian Lamar is a slugging corner infielder out of Las Vegas' Bishop Gorman High School … As a junior last spring, Lamar batted a whopping .430 with eight doubles, a triple and five home runs. He also drove in 45 runs, scored 32 others and stole three bases … Lamar's breakout season in 2018 helped lead BGHS to the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association 4A Regional Semifinals … He also earned first team all-Southwest League and second team all-Sunset Conference honors, as well as his team's "Mr. Gael" award.

Evan Maass joins the USF baseball program from Minnesota and Minnetonka High School, where he has been a dominant right-handed pitcher for the Skippers … Last spring as a junior, Maass posted an ERA of just 2.03 in 22 2/3 innings pitched, only allowing seven earned runs all season … He helped lead his team to a runner-up showing in the Minnesota State High School League 4A Championship, including throwing 10 innings of shutout, one-hit ball with 14 strikeouts during a sectional playoff game … He was named to the section all-tournament team (thanks in part to his aforementioned performance) last spring and was also named the Most Valuable Player of his sophomore team in 2017.

Peyton McGregor has earned three varsity letters in three years at Cactus Shadows High School in Arizona, where he has steadily produced while showing his versatility as a defender, a hitter and even a pitcher … In more than 60 career varsity games already, McGregor has hit over .300, driven in more than 50 runs and hit 11 career home runs … As a sophomore in 2017 he hit .347 with nine doubles, two triples and five home runs. Last spring he increased his long ball total to six while collecting 24 RBIs, scoring 26 runs and hitting .293 … His sophomore campaign brought him first team all-region and second team all-conference honors, and he landed on the all-region second team last spring.

Jaxson Otis comes to San Francisco from Salt Lake Community College, having flashed his bat for one year at the junior college level after graduating from Spring Valley High School in Las Vegas in 2017 … Otis batted .313, posted an on-base percentage of .413 and had an OPS of over .800 last spring with the Bruins … For his efforts, he earned second team all-conference and was named to the regional playoffs all-tournament team … In high school, he earned two letters and was named first team all-state as a senior after batting .425 with 17 RBIs, three doubles, four triples and two home runs. He was also 2-0 on the mound that season while not allowing an earned run in 10 innings pitched.

Eric Reyzelman comes to The Hilltop from regional and national powerhouse De La Salle High School in the East Bay … Reyzelman brings a wealth of championship experience to the Dons, having been part of a program that has won three straight East Bay Athletic League titles and three consecutive North Coast Section champions during his tenure at DLSHS … Last spring, the Spartans' pitching staff posted a miniscule 1.58 staff ERA.
