SAN FRANCISCO – Second-year head coach
Leonard Griffin is pleased to announce the addition of South Korean forward/midfielder Jeesung "Jee" Kim (Suwon, South Korea/Global Vision Christian School) for the 2020 season.
"A cerebral midfielder with tremendous passing ability and vision, Jeesung joins us all the way from South Korea," said Griffin. "We are very excited to welcome Jeesung to the Dons family and see him excel on and off the field."
As a prep playing primarily at the midfield, he was known for key passes that created scoring chances. Over the last four years, he has tallied 53 points on 17 goals and 19 assists.
While playing for the White Tigers and head coach Yongsub Lee, he was named the 2016 National U-15 Football League Outstanding Player. In 2017 he was awarded the GyeongBuk Football League Outstanding Defense Award. He guided his club to third-place finishes in the U-18 GyeongBuk Football League and the Geumgangdaegi National Soccer Tournament.
Kim will enroll in the fall and joins an incoming class that includes
Nonso Adimabua,
Filip Kanold,
Brandon Keniston,
Ilijah Paul, and
Charlie McKay.
