SAN FRANCISCO – The University of San Francisco women's volleyball team begins the fourth year under head coach Frank Lavrisha a little later than intended. The Dons will officially begin a truncated spring season consisting of 18 West Coast Conference matches on Tuesday, January 26.
 
'We are preparing for this WCC season in the best way possible," said Lavrisha. "This team is a wonderful group of young women who are very motivated to improve the USF program. Our readiness to adapt will allow us to be successful. We are so very grateful for the opportunity to compete."
 
The unprecedented spring season will feature series of back-to-back contests against the same opponent in an effort to reduce travel and potential COVID-19 exposure down. The Dons will open the spring season in Malibu taking on Pepperdine on Tuesday, January 26 and Wednesday, January 27.
 
USF will make its home debut the following week hosting Loyola Marymount on February 2nd and 3rd.  They will then host Pacific in back-to-back dates on February 9th and 10th. 
 
The Dons will have back-to-back weeks on the road, first traveling to the Pacific Northwest to take on the Pilots on February 16 and 17. They will then travel to San Diego to take on the Toreros on February 23 and 24.
 
The following week, the schedule will shift to a Friday-Saturday format with the Dons hosting BYU on Friday and Saturday March 5^th and 6^th. The following weekend, USF makes the short trip across the Bay Bridge to take on Saint Mary's at McKeon Pavilion on March 12^th and 13^th.
 
USF wraps up the short season with a trip to Spokane to take on Gonzaga on March 19^th and 20^th before wrapping up the season with a split home and away series against Santa Clara.  The Dons will host the Broncos on Friday, March 26 before traveling to the south bay for the season-finale on Saturday March 27.
