DONS AT A GLANCE:
- The Dons enter Friday's game fresh off of their fourth walk-off victory of the season as USF previously defeated the UC Davis Aggies, 6-5, in 10 innings on Tuesday afternoon courtesy of a Luke Keaschall RBI single.
- Garnering consideration for WCC Player of the year, Keaschall has been tremendous throughout the season as he currently ranks in the top five in the conference in plate appearances (257, first), runs (46, first), doubles (18, first), stolen bases (30, first), hit by pitches (19, first), on-base percentage (.455, second), at-bats (201, third), hits (64, third), walks (34, third) and total bases (103, fifth).
- Projected Friday starter Jonah Jenkins has thrived since being inserted into his current role last month as the right-hander has thrown at least six innings in his last two starts while allowing just four earned runs in 12 1/3 innings of work.
- Senior outfielder Harris Williams III has been swinging a hot bat lately as he is now second on the team with a .271 batting average while also sitting third in the conference in stolen bases (22) and fourth in RBI (42).
SCOUTING THE TIGERS:
- Pacific enters their final weekend of play on a seven game skid as the Tigers were swept in their last two conference series by San Diego and BYU respectively before falling in a matinee contest to Utah Valley this Monday.
- Leading the way offensively, 2021 All-WCC First Team selection Thomas Gavello currently holds the team lead with 11 home runs and 31 RBI so far this season as he has also tallied an impressive OPS of .902.
- Out of the bullpen, Pacific is led by senior Jackson Vaughan, who has made the most of his 26 appearances for the Tigers by going 3-1 with a 3.19 ERA while holding opponents to a .231 batting average against.
