PULLMAN/SPOKANE, Wash. – Following a five-set victory over San Diego last week, the University of San Francisco volleyball team (15-13, 8-8 WCC) hits the road to close out the regular season at Washington State (16-9, 11-5 WCC) at Bohler Gym on Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 7:00 p.m. before heading to play Gonzaga (1-25, 0-12 WCC) at Charlotte Y. Martin Centre on Saturday Nov. 30 at 12:00 p.m.

DONS AT A GLANCE:
- Last week, San Francisco split its final two home matches, earning a hard-fought five-set victory over San Diego on Saturday, Nov. 23, at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center. The team heads into the final week of conference play in fifth place with a record of 8-8.
- Earning their first win over the Toreros since 2014, Astrid Puig and Michalina Rola guided the Dons offensively, accumulating 12 kills and 15 points apiece. Rola added three service aces, while Puig contributed defensively with five blocks.
- Three players recorded double figures in digs on Saturday, led by Jolei Akima (19), followed by Aylen Ayub (16) and Abby Wadas (11).
- Over the two matches last week, Ayub posted back-to-back double-doubles with 35 assists and 13 digs against Santa Clara, followed by 37 assists and 16 digs against San Diego.
- As a team, San Francisco ranks second in the WCC in hitting percentage (.237), third in kills (1,387) and blocks per set (2.44), and fifth in digs per set (14.12).
SCOUTING THE COUGARS:
- Washington State is currently fourth in the conference standings with a record of 11-5 after falling 3-1 to Oregon State last week on Friday, Nov. 22, ending its four-match winning streak.
- Katy Ryan leads the Cougars' attack with a team-high 332 kills, sixth most in the conference, and 377.5 points.
- On defense, Lucie Blazkova has tallied 108 blocks, ranking her fifth overall in the WCC. Offensively, she ranks 10th in hitting percentage with .283 from 175 kills on 413 attempts.
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS:
- Gonzaga enters the week winless during conference play following a 3-1 loss at LMU on Saturday, Nov. 23. Before hosting the Dons, the Bulldogs complete its road slate at Santa Clara on Wednesday, Nov. 27.
- Nia Damuni leads the team in assists with 789 for the sixth most in the conference, averaging 8.48 per set.
- Defensively, Maddie Cugino has accumulated a team-high 298 digs over 85 sets played to rank 10th in the conference.
SERIES HISTORY:
- Wednesday's match at Washington State marks the first between the two programs this season. In the overall history, since 2002, Washington State leads with a 3-1 record. The last matchup was on September 9, 2011, when San Francisco fell in five sets in Pullman, Wash.
- In the most recent matchup this season, San Francisco beat Gonzaga in straight sets on October 17, 2024, at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center. The Dons lead in the series history by a record of 25-20, dating back to 2002.
