SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Traveling to Northern California for the first time this season, the University of San Francisco baseball team (15-14) dropped a 7-1 non-conference decision to Sacramento State (12-17) Monday evening at John Smith Field.

Fung followed with a three-pitch at-bat, grounded out to the second baseman, Cameron Sewell to post his 17th RBI of the season.
- The Hornets regained the lead in the bottom of the third, 2-1, and scored five unanswered runs in the following two frames to solidify the 7-1 victory.
